Bridget Williams Books, Winter Series
6 June 2018

Winter is coming – but so is the BWB Winter Series. The Series started last week in Wellington with an illuminating discussion between Martin Edmond, author of The Expatriates, and acclaimed editor Jane Parkin.

As a special preview to the announcements to come, we can confirm highlights of the Winter Series will include:

  • Damon Salesa speaking in several centres
  • Barbara Brookes discussing the visual narrative of women’s history at museums around the country
  • Panel discussions on migration in Auckland and Wellington

There’s lots more to be announced soon, so follow us on social media (@BWB_NZ and our Facebook page) or keep an eye on these emails.

At BWB, we’re looking forward to attending a fantastic event at National Library this month – Mā te mātauranga, te iwi ka ora: Projects from the Ngāi Tahu Archive.

Tā Tipene O’Regan, Takerei Norton, Helen Brown and Dr. Michael J. Stevens will discuss the innovative work of the Ngāi Tahu Archive team – including their online atlas and Tāngata Ngāi Tahu, a book of Ngāi Tahu biographies co-published by Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu and Bridget Williams Books.
